Calm and Confident Mind Challenge

Mindfulness In Daily Life (Part 2): Walking Meditation

Today’s challenge is to practice a walking meditation for 15 minutes. The key to walking meditation is finding your “natural pace”—a way of walking that feels soothing and effortless.

In everyday life, we often walk in order to get somewhere. During a walking meditation, however, we walk to clear the mind by paying attention to the sensations of each footstep, one after another.

There is no destination here—just the simple, focused awareness of each foot setp. (Very Zen!)

Homework:

1. 15min walking meditation (see video above)

2. Set aside 15min. for a sitting or cleaning meditation.
